AMP™ h-Taq DNA Polymerase is a chemical-mediated thermostable HotStart Taq DNA polymerase acquired from Thermus aquaticus. It is inactive at room temperature, avoiding extension of non-specifically annealed primers or primer-dimers.Its functional activity is restored during 15-minute incubation at 95°C. It provides DNA amplification with high specificity. AMP™ h-Taq DNA Polymerase is suitable for multiplex PCR or allele-specific PCR. It is ideal for diagnostics or screening tests that require high specificity and high sensitivity in PCR. It enables amplification of target DNA up to 21 in a single reaction. The optimal buffer system and optional 5X Band Doctor™ help amplification of difficult PCR which is due to high GC content and complex template structure.
